Introduction from Egypt!

Hello Everybody,

Greetings from Cairo - Egypt.

It seems most - if not all - those on this list are from the USA. So, here I
am adding an international dimension to the list. How about that? Is it
alright or is it only for American participation.

Let me introduce myself anyway.

My name is Inas Barsoum (female). I am Assistant Professor at the Department
of English Language and Literature, Faculty of arts, Ain Shams University
(2nd largest in Cairo). And am currently occupying the postion of Head of
Languages Dept. at a private University in Cairo.

My work with youth for the past 26 years has been the pleasure of my life as
well as its vocation. My main interest is implementing creative and
untraditional methods in my teaching and I encourage the staff who work with
me to follow the same strategy.

I am very much interested in this list as I think it is a golden opportunity
to make use of technology and employ it to the best interest of our YOUTH
all over the world. It is my sincere belief that the main purpose and
achievement of technology is to encourage, foster, and develop relationships
and communication among people from across the globe. So, let's get
together, share our experiences and find ways where we can get our students
and youth to do things which we couldn't have thought of doing a very short
while ago: communicate and profit from one another's experience even while
miles away.

is allowed??)
