My Introduction

[Hubert Johnson]

Good Morning I thought it was time that I introduce myself to the group My
name is Bert Johnson and I am the Director of Y-Care(Youth Caring about
Recreation and Education)2000. We are an extended learning program for
children that emphasizes math,science and technology in an Inquiry based
curriculum.We have relied heavily on the support of Private and public
funding to keep our dream alive. We are located in Washington DC and deal
with urban youth form which approximately 75 percent come from single parent
homes where there is no significant male in the household. We program until
8pm during the school year and my staff is 90 percent male. We also
implement character development into our daily activities because we
understand the need to fully develop children. I am always looking for good
programming tips ,successful websites and any sound character programs or
platforms that can be  easily implemented. If I can offer any help to any of
