<p>The Funders' Collaborative on Youth Organizing is Accepting Proposals from
Community-Based Organizations
The Funders' Collaborative on Youth Organizing is a collective of national,
regional and local grantmakers who pool resources in order to advance youth
organizing as a strategy for youth development and social justice. The
Collaborative is now accepting proposals from community- based organizations
that use youth organizing as a strategy for achieving concrete social change
while developing the individual and collective leadership capacity of
low-income young people. The Collaborative will accept proposals from
independent organizations, networks, projects
within adult-led organizations, intergenerational organizations, and
coalitions. The Collaborative is projected to award a total of about 25
grants in the range of $15,000-$30,000 to strategically support the social
change work of youth-led, youth organizing efforts in low-income
communities. Grant awards will primarily target, but is not limited to,
organizations with a significant history of youth organizing and budgets
under $1 million. In addition, a smaller percentage of grant awards will be
set aside for emerging groups. Contact the Funders' Collaborative to receive
an application.
