<p>JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
POSITION: FULL-TIME SENIOR PROGRAM COORDINATOR

iMENTOR helps young people from under-served communities develop skills and
opportunities by connecting them to personal and professional networks
through the Internet. Mentor and mentees email, meet in-person at
regularly-scheduled events, and collaborate on projects together designed to
support student-mentor relationships; improve students' reading, writing and
researching skills; and promote technological literacy.

iMentor works with schools, after-school programs, community technology
centers, and other youth development agencies that serve young people from
low-income neighborhoods. Our partner youth agencies recruit young people to
participate in the program, and the young people access the Internet at
these technology centers. iMentor recruits and screens adult volunteers
from all works of life - including doctors, lawyers, scientists,
business-people, and artists. Students and volunteers are matched
one-on-one according to their shared interests. iMentor also designs the
projects that mentors and students work on together over email and organizes
events where mentors and students can interact in-person. iMentor's site
coordinators also provide on-going training and on-site support to our
mentors and partner youth agencies to help them implement the iMentor
program on a day-to-day basis.
