Many of you may be interested in a recent issue of the Child Care
Bulletin (Issue #23). It contains interesting perspectives and good
resources covering a range of topics concerning Out of School
Programs for Children and Youth. It notes the expanding opportunities
through several new initiatives. Topics run the gamut from the
challenges of staffing, program quality and financing (note the
Finance Project) to information on such practical aspects as
available funding for healthy snacks and transportation to
afterschool programs. It has links to  Web sites for kids, including
one with instructions on building an android - just in case you are
