Do you know an Afterschool Hero?
There may be a computer, cash or an ISUZU Rodeo Sport Hardtop in their life
or yours!
ISUZU American Motors Inc. has teamed up with the Afterschool Alliance and
The Entertainment Industry Foundation during the month of October to help
identify some of the many heroes helping youth in afterschool programs
across the country. Afterschool providers can get involved by encouraging
kids aged 9-15 to nominate that special person that touched their lives.
The ISUZU Afterschool Hero of the Year search will recognize program staff
and volunteers who work so hard to provide safe and stimulating environments
after school. More than 20 regional winners, who will be selected by a
panel of national experts, will receive a computer and $1,000 cash for their
afterschool program. A grand prize winner will receive $5,000 for his/her
program and a 2001 Isuzu Rodeo Sport Hardtop. The student with the winning
nomination will receive a computer. All winners will be acknowledged in
People Magazine. Nomination forms and more details are available at
www.afterschoolalliance.org. Entries are due by October 31, 2000.
