Strangely enough I just received an email from the "Editorium" which is a
newsletter for desk top publishing.  It talks about creating templates etc
using Word.  Somewhere along the line your original post disappeared so if
you send me your email address privately I'll forward the newsletter to you

You might want to check out
http://officeupdate.microsoft.com/TemplateGallery/default.asp which has a
number of templates for newsletters which can be done in Word 97 or 2000.
