Hello Everyone!

My name is Kallen; I'm the Director of On-line
Learning at a NYC-based non-profit called
Computers for Youth (www.cfy.org). CFY places
computers in the HOMES of underserved children
and families and provides an array of services
to help them use the computers as learning tools.

As part of this latter objective, CFY is committed
to providing our families with quality, web-based
resources that directly meet their needs and interests.
One of the ways we do this is by running a community
technology design team. The team is presently
exploring what kinds of services it might be able
to provide through the web. Thus...

--> I'm looking for some good examples of youth-
developed/websites that provide a service to their
    community.

"Community" includes school community, neighborhood,
town, ethnic community, faith-based community, hobby-
based community.... pretty much anything.

--> Does anyone out there know of any such sites or
do you have any suggestions about where I might
    find such sites?

Thanks so much!

If all goes well...
We will take our children’s hands
    so they may feel
    protected and our gentleness
We will share our games
We will surrender our kisses
I will laugh
    I will sing
I will complain of work’s hassles
I’ll count my gray hairs
    and until the very end
    I will delight
in the adventure
of the sensation
    of emotion
             and thought.
