(Forwarded from the school aged child care issues and concerns list. AAAS
has created some great curricula in the past. Reply to Bob if you are
interested, and if you try their science program, let others on YouthLearn
know what you think!_

Subject: Science in 21st Century programs
<p>Hi:
We have received a grant from the National Science Foundation to develop a
web-based science program for use in an after-school setting. It's called
Kinetic City After School. If anyone wants to try it for their current or
proposed program, please let me know (reply to me, rather than the whole
list.) The program will be ready for Fall 2001 (some of the materials
earlier).
The content is based on science standards for grades 3 through 5, but is
presented as an entertaining, recreational way to play and learn. It's from
the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
Thanks!
