Good afternoon!
I am also brand new to the list and would like to introduce myself. =
My
name is Gerylee Baron and I'm a "new" attorney. I graduated from law =
school
in May of 1999. I am currently licensed in New Jersey and eligible to =
waive
in to the DC Bar. My background is mostly working with juvenile =
delinquents
in the DC area. I am currently a consultant at the American Bar
Association, Juvenile Justice Center and work with the National =
Juvenile
Defender Center here. When my contract is over here, I will be looking =
for
a public defender/juvenile defender type job (if anyone knows of any, =
I'd
love the tip/lead!!). I am looking forward to learning more about how =
you
all work with and affect the lives of children. =20

"Our lives are the only things that are completely ours. The kind of =
life we
make is the most important work, the single most important project we =
will
ever undertake. I suppose what I am trying to say is that in my own =
life as
I have struggled with the question of what makes a good and happy human
life, I have become ever more convinced that struggling to secure the
conditions for a decent human life for others is a large part of the
answer." April, 2000
