Job Announcement

Position: Networked Learning Center Instructor
Summary
The Perry School NLC is a state-of-the-art computer lab that provides youth,
ages 6-18, with a positive jumpstart on computer technology. The NLC allows
youth to use technology as an educational tool for homework, communication,
research, and self-expression.

The Networked Learning Center Lab Instructor will assist the NLC Director in
the development and ongoing operations of the learning center's educational
programs and facilities.

Responsibilities

The NLC Lab Instructor will:
· Assist in the development and implementation of school age
children's educational out-of-school programs
· Assist in the development of lesson and project plans that
incorporate technology
· Serve as an instructor for training programs
· Research and maintain a database of content that is useful in the
development of lesson and project plans
· Assist in the documentation of class activities and projects
· Provide some technical support, non-technical support and
maintenance to maintain a fully functional, clean and safe NLC environment
· Provide daily guidance and counseling to youth ages 6-18
Desired Attributes
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· A strong commitment to youth development and education
· The ability to work independently and collaboratively
· The aptitude to learn training techniques and curricula development
· Knowledge of MS-Word, MS-Excel, and the Internet

Qualifications
· High School Diploma or G.E.D.
· Experience and competence working with youth

Salary : $23,000 - $26,000
