I encourage you to visit www.tutormentorconnection.org and look at the way we use computer generated maps to show where programs are needed, and where existing programs are located. We also use charts to show the diversity of adults (and business partners) needed at every program and every neighborhood. These charts also illustrate how services need to grow from age group to age group, sequencing learning and motivation so the end result is youth who are better prepared for careers.

We've also just posted information on the May 17 and 18, 2001 Tutor/Mentor Leadership Conference, to be held in Chicago. This is the 15th such conference we've hosted since 1994.  We keep the costs low ($85 for two days) so more people can attend.  Anyone within driving distance of Chicago might find this a valuable learning and networking opportunity.

Your 4H team might incorporate some of these concepts into its own service distribution model, and perhaps could even facilitate learning of some of this information.
