Joan,
I am the state director for Communities In Schools a drop out prevention =
program. CIS is administered at the local level by non-profits 501 (c) (=
3) boards. We require all of our programs to develop annual operational =
plans that are tied to the strategic plan. the annual plan in essence is=
a business plan.
Thanks,
Nellie Reyes =20

Hello,
I think that the absence of a "business plan" does not mean that
organizations have
no clear vision or goals for the future. Every non-profit organization I
have ever worked with
has goals and mission statements, and strategic plans which are updated
at least every five years. Visions, goals, and methods of accomplishing
those are contained
in those documents. =20
