Many people have jumped in with good information about hardware and other
resources. One thing I wanted to remind you is about licensing software for
the computers. Recently Pam forwarded an article about Microsoft suing a
non-profit agency for re-distributing computers without legal copies of
their operating systems. It is vital that you license all the software
appropriately for your goals. Especially when you are talking about such a
large quantity of machines. Since the cost involved with that could be
prohibitive to your program, I would suggest you investigate that before you
worry about the hardware and labor problems.
