Laura,
I work for the LEARNS project which is a training and technical =
assistance
provider for the Corporation for National Service (they oversee =
AmeriCorps,
VISTA, Senior Corps, and Learn and Serve). We provide services to all =
of
their education-focused programs. While our services are limited to =
national
service programs we have a Web site that I think you might find =
helpful.
Check it out http://www.nwrel.org/learns/
Also, you may find some useful forms, publications, etc. at the =
National
Service Resource Center Web site http://www.etr.org/nsrc/ It has an =
obvious
focus on national service programs but publications like "Making an =
Impact
on Out-of-School Time" =
http://www.etr.org/nsrc/pdfs/niost/impact/impact.html
could apply in many situations.=20
We work with many "I Have a Dream" projects since they frequently use
national service members. If this is your case give us call to find out
other resources we can provide for free. Good luck!
=20
Regards,=20
Dean

<p>Hello everyone,

My name is Laura Rodriguez, and I am the assistant program director =
with a
program called "Hopes & Dreams", a collaboration between the I Have A =
Dream
Foundation and Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention in Fort Worth, Texas. =
This
program serves children from a first grade class at an elementary =
school.
We will follow these students until they graduate from high school and
provide support services to those students and their families. I am =
looking
for resources that will help our tutors, mentors and after school
programming be effective. Thanks to anyone who can be of help.
