Thank you, Susan Farrell, for letting me know about the America
Reads program her organization is involved in with a local
college. I ended up looking up the website and there's some great
info there, in case anyone else on YouthLearn is interested...
America Reads Challenge Resource Kit

plan and implement community literacy programs for children from
birth through elementary school. Among the tip sheets are the
following:

* Where to Find Inexpensive (or Free) Children's Books

in Reading
* How to Find Federal Work Study Tutors for Your Elementary
School, Preschool, Community Center, Family Literacy or
