Question re: Student Run Businesses

 I would like to add to this, a source of funding to help establish a
student-operated business that will become self-sufficient.  One of the
teachers in my district wants to establish a student-operated business for
his special ed.  students, but needs about $10,000 to get it going.

I was wondering if any of you have information that
you can share re: starting a student run business?

I've been doing some research on the web, and have
seen a variety of products.  I would welcome some
direction in this search and perhaps, if available,
some generic guidelines for setting-up and managing a
student run business.
