Dear YouthLearn Member --

Today we're announcing that the Morino Institute has entered a
strategic partnership with the Massachusetts-based Education
Development Center (http://www.edc.org) to ensure the long-term
growth and advancement of the YouthLearn Initiative.

We're so pleased to let you know about this major new milestone
for YouthLearn!

The ideas and experiences you've all shared on this listserv have
made it into a thriving, professional community. The YouthLearn
list will continue to be a great way to support each other in
your important work. To post to YouthLearn, please use this new
e-mail address: mailto:youthlearn at mail.edc.org.

After spending several years building YouthLearn, the Morino
Institute searched for a strategic partner to assume the ongoing
leadership of this initiative and build it into an institution
with greater national reach. EDC is the ideal partner, a truly
outstanding organization founded in 1958 that manages more than
350 projects around the globe.

In the coming months, we'll continue on in an advisory role as
EDC seeks to expand YouthLearn's offerings. Ultimately, we hope
EDC will establish a national center of excellence on youth,
learning, and technology anchored around YouthLearn.

Later today you'll receive a message from Wendy Rivenburgh from
EDC. I've had the great pleasure of working closely with Wendy
and, for the next couple of months, we'll be co-facilitating the
YouthLearn list together.

I wanted to let you know, it's truly been a pleasure working on
YouthLearn this past year. You have inspired all of us at the
Morino Institute, both with your commitment and the positive
impact you are making for children and youth.

Here's to a great new year!
Pam
