Hi Everyone -

After learning about YouthLearn from the recent eSchool News article, I
couldn't help but join this discussion group!  I am Vicki Aljoe and I am
with vivED, www.vivED.com, an educational technology consulting company
located in St. Paul, MN.  We work with K-12 schools, helping them integrate
technology facility-wide.  We provide schools with Evaluation, Planning and
Implementation services and have online tools that help them better manage
their technology efforts.

Although schools are making huge strides with integration, we have been
finding that one major area schools are missing is Community, Business and
Parental involvement to assist in the process.  We assist schools and
encourage them to forge partnerships with community organizations,
educational institutions, and volunteer programs - all of which can make
technology projects/programs all the more successful and sustainable. I
look forward to learning about best practices in partnership building and
community involvement for the betterment of technology integration.
