I just wanted to let you know that the Association of Christian Community
Computer Centers (AC4) has now finalized and released its current
curriculum materials that should be of use to many different Community
Technology Centers. The main resources include:
1. Youth Resources on the Web Research Report. This provides a
comprehensive list of Internet resources CTC's involving youth, as well as
lesson plans for integrating technology into an after school program. This
is the result of over 300 hours of research performed by Mary Pavan, a
Harvard Grad, who was on staff for this project through the CTCNet VISTA
program.
2. Computer class Curriculum materials. We have compiled curriculum
materials and lesson plans on a wide range of classes including Intro to
Computers, Word, Excel, Access, Graphic Design and Entrepreneurship. These
may be used free of charge as long as the source is noted.
3. Our E-mail list. We currently have over 200 individuals and
organizations with an interest in Christian community computer centers.
You can join on our Website.
For all of these resources, you can find them at http://www.acccc.org.
Just to give some background on AC4, we currently have over 200 Christian
community computer centers on our list, and it keeps growing. The goal of
AC4 is to help support these centers by facilitating communication and
community to help them address the digital divide. Anyway, I hope you find
these useful.
