I joined the list a few weeks ago, and find the information and opinions
being circulated extremely helpful and informative. I am writing to
introduce myself to the group.

I founded and run Tutor.com. We provide a service called Live Homework
Help, which is offered free of charge to students in over 100 after-school
settings across the country, including public libraries and community based
organizations. Students in those locations can sit down at any computer
with Internet access and connect with a screened and qualified expert tutor
in under a minute. They get help with their homework, an upcoming test,
or other academic request in math, science, social studies, or English in
4th through 12th grade levels. Tutors work one-to-one with students in an
online classroom with rich learning tools.

I look forward to discussions about how youth across the country can be
served through after-school programs, especially through innovative uses of
technology.
