We too are curently in the planning stages of a community wide volunteer
program. Ours will consist of training including job preparadness skills,
customer service, and leadership as well as specific job related tasks. The
youth will then spend some time volunteering at various local spots. We are
piloting the program this summer within our Recreation Department with our
camp volunteers, aquatics volunteers, senior center, sports, and front
office; we also have a few community groups signed on...a community garden
project, the downtown association, a historic site in town, and a graffiti
removal program.
I look forward to seeing what else is out there since we are still in the
planning stages.

I am seeking to develop a city wide youth volunteer program. Does anyone
have a successful model I can take a look at or do you know of a web site
that I can get additional information?
