Our organization has a "tool kit" that might be interesting to you and
others on the listserve.  It is called "Building Community: A Tool Kit for
Youth and Adults in Charting Assets and Creating Change".  It provides a
variety of tools for conducting activities such as asset mapping and
planning to conduct community-based service efforts that are strategic and
sustainable.  The tools were developed and tested with many diverse
communities in the United States.

Our campus is interested in beginning a volunteerism and service component
for our students with an emphasis on connecting to our community.  This
will include a course for college age students.  Any suggestions on where
