Hello-
My name is Monica Biswas and I am thrilled to be a part of the YouthLearn
community! My past experiences with youth programs have focused on service
learning, substance abuse prevention and literacy. One of the things I
love most in working with young people is that, when the environment is
right, I learn so much from them and their learning journey! Their
idealism and energy help me remember that anything is possible. I think
this perspective matches one of the major values of YouthLearn, that
learning is most effective when it is driven by the interests and passions
of the students.
It has been exciting for me to discover YouthLearn and the important work
this community is involved in. The interaction of youth programs,
technology, and out-of-school settings has unique needs and challenges. I
know we will continue to tackle these issues with each other's help.
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Wendy Rivenburgh for her
patience and thoroughness in orienting me to YouthLearn. I look forward to
co-facilitating this list with her. During Wendy's leave, please feel free
to contact me with questions or concerns. I look forward to learning from
and sharing with all of you!
Sincerely,
Monica
