Summer 2002 Opportunity
Counselor

The Program
WiredWoods is a non-profit start-up dedicated to getting at-risk middle
school children hooked on technology as a path to a better future. To get
them excited about technology, WiredWoods teaches them how to work in teams
to build web sites as part of a traditional, overnight summer camp. By
marrying the power of computers with the joy of camp, we seek to make a
lasting impact on these children.

The Position
For 2002, WiredWoods Counselors responsibilities are divided between
WiredWoods instructional activities and traditional Camp Counselor duties
at the Crossroads for Kids camp in Duxbury, MA.
Counselors will:
- Work as a team with experienced teachers to teach at-risk children how to
build web sites
- Act as a full-time counselor, fully integrated into camp life at
Crossroads for Kids (cabin responsibility, meals and activities such as
camp service project, evening program and special events)

This will be a demanding and rewarding full-time job for 8.7-weeks: June 20
- August 21 including camp orientation and WiredWoods training. Salary,
completion bonus, meals, and rustic group housing at camp will be provided.

Please visit www.wiredwoods.org for complete position details and
qualifications.
