Although what I will describe does not involve a "course," you might wish
to consult our website-- www.poly.edu/edu/packard--and check out the New
York City Science/Technology Forum. It's a one-day event and although this
year's event schedule will not be posted until next week, the description
and activities regarding the 2001 event (our 4th annual) can be reviewed.
I can tell you, however, that the 5th Annual NYC Science/Technology (2002)
Forum, which is being held today, is a spectacular success as a means of
informing and inspiring high school students (almost 500 of them) by
introducing them to scientists and other expert practitioners who join with
them on a college campus for substantive discussions of the research they
pursue and the preparation that is necessary for a career in science,
engineering or technology. We offer other out-of-school curricular-based
activities during the scope of the year as well, including a science
research institute that operates each summer.
Call me if you wish to discuss. Good luck!
                    Noel

I do need some help from you regarding some references that you might be
able to give me. I am trying to identify companies that specialize in
providing workshops to school kids (grade 8 and above) and those that
periodically arrange other-than-what-is-taught-in-school type of programs.
I am referring to out-of-school-curricula programs.

Long time back i read an article about a company which arranged a "Business
Entrepreneur" course for kids in grade 10. It went on to say that they were
even provided with business cards and company banners (which they
fictiuosly represented as part of a project). I missed noting down thier
contact numbers. So i just thought about you to see if you have ever came
across such companies.
