JOB POSTING #1:
Malden High School YTE Instructor.
This position is an exciting opportunity for someone comfortable with
technology that loves to teach and inspire students to perform beyond their
expectations. The YTE Teacher prepares high school students at Malden High
School to be computer teachers, technicians and entrepreneurs in service to
their school and community. At the core of the YTE program is the hands-on,
project-based curriculum focusing on "computer service learning." Both in
daily academic YTE classes and in out-of-school activities, students master
skills in problem solving, communication and critical thinking as they
develop expertise in information technology, business and entrepreneurship
while working to build stronger communities.
Position Summary
The YTE teacher is responsible for teaching two 10th grade YTE Computer
Ventures I/II classes, one 11th grade YTE Computer Ventures III/IV class
and two programming classes. They will also work collaboratively with the
school administration on creating, managing and evaluating real-life
student technology projects that benefit the school or community.
