Hello YouthLearn community:
As the summer winds down, it seems that curriculum development topics are
on your mind. Ron, Frederick, and Ken have asked specific questions that
are listed below. Also, I wanted to point to some resources on our website
(http://www.youthlearn.org) that may aid in developing projects and
curriculum of your own. Specifically, our "Learning" section has a number
of relevant pages devoted to these issues. I've highlighted a few here:

**Incorporating technology:
http://www.youthlearn.org/learning/approach/tech.html

**Lesson planning: http://www.youthlearn.org/learning/planning/index.html
. This includes a series of activities including brainstorming, and
mapping that can be incorporated into any lesson plan to involve students
in guiding their learning.

**Sample Activities and projects:
http://www.youthlearn.org/learning/activities/index.html

**Activities and projects that incorporate language arts:
http://www.youthlearn.org/learning/activities/language/index.asp

**Projects that are interdisciplinary:
http://www.youthlearn.org/learning/activities/inter/neighborhood/overview.html

**We have a search-able database on our website, where you can put in
keywords to find relevant resources:
http://www.youthlearn.org/resources/database/database.asp

**Also, our page on how to search effectively on the internet may open the
door to many resources: http://www.youthlearn.org/techno/search.asp

Please feel free to respond Ron, Frederick, and Ken. Thanks again for your
great ideas and participation!

Monica

I'm starting a after-school youth technology training program. What kinds
of curriculum should i provide to youth between the ages of 10-14. And,
where do I go to find out this type of information. I have a idea on what
to use i came up with Webpage design, Internet useage, classroom curriculum
such as: terms, do's & don't and also keyboarding. Also, we will teach
them how to build a computer; do you think these are some good ideas could
you help me out a little bit i would thank you for it.
