To Steve,
My name is Tina Baldwin, Marketing and Outreach Director for Golf Exposure.
Golf Exposure is non profit organization based in the Washington DC
metropolitan area whose mission is to develop and enhance disciplined life
skills in at-risk and minority youth via education, mentoring, and the
introduction and the playing of game of golf.
As you may know, golf reinforces basic human instincts of respect,
integrity, honesty and self will. Unlike the aggressive competitive sports
of basketball, football, and soccer that promote player and crowd
belligerence,
golfers are submissive...tipping their hat to their competitor, not
crossing their line, and remaining silent during play.
One of our groups is Cornell Abraxas, a halfway house type program in the
Juvenile Detention System in DC. Youth have participated in this program
with life changing results. If you are looking for a non-traditional
approach to
rehabilitation, this may be the one for you.
Pls visit our website at www.golfexposure.org. We would like to meet with
you that week...pls forward your schedule and we can see if there is a fit.
If not, we can forward some info to you!
Have a safe and blessed day!
Tina Baldwin
