How to Engage Youth in CTC Program Development

Colleagues:

I'm currently working with a client who runs an inner-city Community
Technology Center. The center serves a large population of
low-to-moderate-income residents. A larger sector of the community are
teens and young adults, and unfortunately this community is plagued with
high crime, poverty, school drop-out, and unemployment.

We want to meet with some of the youth who have influence in the community
and find out what are their interests? What program would they like the CTC
to offer? What do they think would appeal to their friends?

Have anyone ever done this, and what types of questions do we ask once the
meeting is called? Please share anything you may have on this.

I think I need more, but not sure what. Any feedback or ideals will be
great! Thanks
