YouthLearn Subscribers:

Earlier this month, we let you know about an opportunity to apply for
equipment grants through the Beaumont Foundation of America. As you may
recall, we are part of an alliance of national organizations working with
Beaumont to identify prime candidates for funding and assist in the
application process. I've heard from a number of you and welcome anyone
else to contact me if you are interested in applying. While the online
application is now up and available on Beaumont's website, to be reviewed
as a member of the YouthLearn community, you need to contact us with your
fax number or mailing address so that we can send you specific instructions
on how to fill out your application. Beaumont has created a space on the
application to enter codes indicating your affiliations, but I can only
supply you that code via fax or mail.

I apologize for the complexity of this process, but Beaumont has assured us
that indicating your affiliations will be a key measure of your commitment
and sustainability. This is a fact sheet from Beaumont on the program (
http://www.bmtfoundation.com/grants/2003GrantFactSheet.pdf ), however I
encourage you to read the Grant Guidelines found on the Foundation website
before you begin the application process.

I welcome anyone to email or call me if you have more questions about the
process or the grant program in general and I'll continue to update you as
the process develops.

Best,
Tony
