Dear YouthLearn community:

One of the current efforts to build the field of youth development is the
Promising Practices in Afterschool (PPAS) initiative. You may already be
familiar with this work, but if not, we wanted to bring it to your
attention. The first national call for submissions is underway now, and
we're hoping that technology-infused, youth-driven learning programs will
be well-represented in the emerging collection of promising practices.

YouthLearn will be helping to disseminate promising practices identified
through this project, which is based at AED and funded by the Mott
Foundation. If you decide to make a submission, we ask that you enter
"YouthLearn" in the field for "Source of Information about PPAS" so that we
can learn about your work and glean ideas to share with the YouthLearn
community. We hope in the coming months to be featuring chosen practices
via our website, newsletter, and discussion list, so that we all might
benefit from the innovation of individual practitioners. See further
details below and feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Many thanks,

Tony
