Volunteer Coordinators

Hello all,

I am looking for information on the feasibility of hiring of Volunteer
Coordinator for my organization. The issue is as a NPO in New York City
we are hurting financially. We need more staff to provide better
services, but the problem is we can not pay for the ideal amount of staff
we need. My thought is if we make someone a volunteer coordinator we can
get a team of volunteers that will be able to perform many of our tasks at
no cost or low cost. I believe coordination of volunteers is like a form
of fundraising. This person will be bringing in "labor hours" which
equates to dollars.

If you have any information on Volunteer Coordination or organizations
that help find volunteers please forward them to me.

Best regards,
