My thought: try switching roles. Have the mentors ask their mentees to
"be them" for a few minutes to help them get a sense of what it's like for
the mentees to be with them. Ask the mentors not to roleplay the mentees
initially, as it may come off like criticism. Let the mentors learn from
how the mentees portray them.
A next step might be to ask the mentee to roleplay them as they would like
them to be.
I'll bet the adults learn something..Good luck!
