Programming abounds for sites that are in school settings or other "middle
class" models. Ayieko is a site in a low income neighborhood. We are a
bridge over the digital divide for adults and youth. To reach youth
outside the school setting programming needs to respect their high level
of self help (survivial) skills and provide autonomy but include
mentoring. To be successful it needs to be on their terms. I have not
found much to address this population.
