Boston's After-School for All Partnership Announces Three Funding 
Opportunities

Three Funding Opportunities Available to After-School Providers!

Boston's After-School for All Partnership wants to highlight three funding 
opportunities for after-school providers.  Please review the eligibility 
criteria carefully as eligibility is restricted in some cases.  Additional 
information with links to the Request for Proposals (RFP) are outlined 
below:

Joint Application for Boston Community Learning Centers and Boston's 
After-School for All Partnership School Sites Initiative Funding Released

Grant Applications due Tuesday, April 29, 2003 at 4 PM.

<p>The Boston Community Learning Centers (BCLC) and Boston's After-School for 
All Partnership have collaborated to design a joint application process 
for those after-school providers seeking funds to do the following:

A)  The BCLC application process will determine which sites are included 
in Boston's application to the Massachusetts Department of Education for 
21st Century Community Learning Center funding.  Final funding decisions 
will be made by the Massachusetts Department of Education.

B)  The Boston's After-School for All Partnership School Sites Initiative 
is seeking applications from community-based organizations that are 
currently operating in a combination of at least two Boston Public, 
Charter and/or Parochial school buildings and are seeking to increase the 
number of after-school participant slots at one of their sites to 75 
students or by a minimum of 25 (whichever is greater).

Harvard University Announces Round Three of the Harvard After School 
Initiative (HASI) - Grant Applications are due Thursday, May 1, 2003 at 4 
PM.

Harvard University is seeking to fund programs serving children and youth, 
ages 5-18 during out of school hours in Allston-Brighton, Fenway, and 
Mission Hill.  They are announcing grants in two areas:

A) HASI Bridging Initiative (Second Cohort) - The HASI Bridging 
Initiative, Second Cohort, seeks to build on the success of the HASI 
Bridging Initiative launched last year. Grantees can enhance the learning 
experiences of children by strengthening relationships between programs, 
schools and families, through funding for an Education Coordinator staff 
position, professional development, technical assistance and evaluation.

B) Summer Grants, 2003 - Grants are available to support programs that 
take place only in the summer, as well as the summer components of 
ongoing, year-round programs.
