Youthlearn folks,
We are going to offer a computer refurbishing class in the new year, and I
am looking for input from anyone with experience. We are planning to
offer it to high school students, for 12 weeks (once a week). We are
gathering donated out - of - date PCs, and will teach some basic hardware,
as well as installing Linux and free software onto the computers. They
will thus learn some hardware and software, as well as get educated about
the free software movement and all. At the end of class, the students
will take them home.
I am looking for experiences/suggestions/potential problems/advice from
folks who have done something similar. Any input would be welcome, as we
have never done anything like this before.
Thanks for the help,
A peaceful New Year to all,
--Elizabeth
