CLC site visits

Good afternoon to all!
About 18 months ago, I posted a request to this list. I was the director
for a new CLC , and I wanted to do some site visits to see what others
have been doing at their sites. The response was tremendous, but I left
the organization a short time later when it became apparent that the
program was not going in the right direction. They say what goes around -
comes around (or something like that!) -- I am now about to become
project director for a new CLC within my organization, the Racine Family
YMCA. We have computers with some software and money for at least 2 years.
We are still at the stage of defining our mission and goals, but I know
that I want to continue my YouthALIVE! model and have teens and college
students as the primary instructors. I believe that our primary market
will be elementary and middle school youth......... other than that, it is
wide open.
If you have a CLC (particularly with lots of youth input & involvement)
and you are within the SE Wisconsin area, may I come visit?! I am willing
to drive 2 hours or so, which would include the Chicago and Northern
Indiana areas. We would like to schedule these visits within the next few
weeks.
Thanks, in advance, for sharing your best practices with me!
