This week, TechSoup's DiscounTech introduced new changes to their
Microsoft Software Donation Program.
Effective immediately, nonprofits that receive Microsoft donated products
through DiscounTech will be eligible to order again after 1 calendar year,
instead of the current 2-year waiting period. Qualified organizations can
request up to 6 different products and 50 licenses each (1 license for
server products) one-time per calendar year.
This change is retroactive, which means that all nonprofits that received
Microsoft products since March 1, 2003 under the "2-year rule" (one order
of Microsoft products per two year period) will be eligible to request
Microsoft products one calendar year after their last order.
DiscounTech also updated their catalog to include the latest versions of
Microsoft products, including Office 2003 Standard and Office 2003
Professional, as well as 3 brand new Microsoft titles: OneNote 2003,
InfoPath 2003, and Live Communication Server 2003.
These changes are the result of feedback from the nonprofits that use
DiscounTech. You can learn more at www.techsoup.org/discountech.
