Our staff and administrators are developing an alternative high school for
a small group of students who are failing their freshman year. We expect
to place them in a job each morning for at least two hours as part of
their program. I would appreciate any information you could share with us
about best practices or model alternative school programs that include a
career placement. Our questions include: Are students paid? How often
are students and mentors monitored by school staff? What kind of companies
have been most receptive to taking these students?=20
