Hi Everyone,
My name is Shauna Leff and I work at BAVC (Bay Area Video Coalition) in
San Francisco. BAVC is a noncommercial media access and training center
with programs geared towards youth and adults. Over the past year we've
been working on a project called BrainGlow: Ideas and tools for Digital
Storytelling. It shows and instructs youth in the myriad methods that
stories can be created with simple digital tools. It also contains dozens
of stories created by young mediamakers, as well as over twenty-five
interactive learning activities, a teachers workbook, and a multi-track
storybuilding timeline.

If you or anyone else you know is in New York City next week, we would
love for you to join us at Listen Up! for our BrainGlow release event on
Wednesday, March 10, 6p-8p. It's a great opportunity to meet other youth
organizations and people doing digital storytelling work. This event will
include a BrainGlow presentation, discussion and light refreshments.
Storytellers and media-makers of all ages welcome! The cost is free. All
we're asking is that you RSVP since the space is limited. Click on the
link below for more details.

If you can't make the event and want to know more about digital
storytelling, feel free to contact us. Definitely let us know if you're in
the San Francisco Bay Area. We always have different events and workshops
going on and would love to get you involved. If you already have a
program up and running and would like to be listed in our online
resources, send me an e-mail with a few sentences about your organization,
program and web site address.

<p>Best regards,
