Hello,
While the discussion to date has focused on funding, I thought people
might be interested in some free resources. See
www.stopbullyingnow.hrsa.gov which is aimed at "tweens" (kids from 9 or 10
--to 12) and includes resources for kids, e.g. "webisodes" of cartoon
characters that will change every few weeks and other stuff. The site for
adults includes PR materials and substantive resources such as short
handouts on a wide range of useful topics and programs.
One featured program is the MetLife Foundation Read for Health Program,
which is now available for purchase from EDC. It is a literacy-based
curriculum and parent video on bullying for middle grades kids in school
and for book clubs after school.
