I don't have the Student Voices project, sponsored by Annenberg, has some
great projects going on. See http://student-voices.org/

Also the Childrens Partnership Techpolicybank has some great materials on
their Youth and Technology Candidate Information Program done by
Children's Partnership along with the California Community Technology
Policy Group and PolicyLink. See http://www.techpolicybank.org/candidateresponses.html and then look at the Briefing Materials.

Hi Michelle,

I can think of a lot of suggestions for you, but of course don't
necessarily know about their availability. There's the Youth Vote
Coalition http://www.youthvote.org/ They also have a field site in California w/ local contacts at http://www.youthvote.org/fieldsites/CA/caa.cfm. There's also the New Voters Project which has staff on the ground doing
youth voter outreach in 6 states (CA isn't one of them, but they would
certainly be able to speak about it) http://www.newvotersproject.org/ All of these groups work in partnership w/ the other big players - Rock
the Vote, the
Hip-Hop Summit Action Network, and are members of the WWE's Smackdown Your
Vote Campaign.

Rock the Vote's LA office is an easy/close connection for you. Also, in
Berkeley there's an organization called MAY - Mobilizing America's Youth http://www.mobilize.org/. It's youth-run and works to increase youth engagement - particularly in
the political process - and has been organizing a Million Youth March.

Also, in California are some of the founders of Party Y http://www.party-y.org/about.html which supports young candidates.

I can send you contact info if you're interested in any of the above.

Also, CIRCLE provides a lot of information, particularly research on youth
civic engagement and voting. I'll be in Cali that week and would be happy
to bring you or send any of our products if you're interested in something
specific.

Best,
Carrie Donovan
