Announcing TechSoup Stock, TechSoup's product philanthropy service and its
new name

TechSoup.org (www.techsoup.org), the nonprofit technology Web site, has
renamed its technology product philanthropy service from DiscounTech to
TechSoup Stock (www.techsoup.org/stock). The new name is intended to
better communicate the nature of the service, which helps nonprofits
access donated and discounted technology products in a supportive
TechSoup.org environment. This support makes acquiring, implementing, and
using technology products easier. Additionally, the new name aims to help
people to understand that the product distribution is a philanthropic
service in support of nonprofits - not a commercial enterprise.

TechSoup Stock's services are a key part of TechSoup.org's mission to make
technology a tool for social progress: the service helps nonprofits save
money for mission-critical work when acquiring technology, and TechSoup
content helps nonprofits use this technology even more effectively.
