Fairytales and Folktales

Hello,
I am trying to create a literacy activity by using folktales or
fairytales. I would like to use two books: either a new and older version
of a fairytale (such as the Little Red Hen and the Little Red Hen Makes a
Pizza); or a traditional fairytale and its counterpart from a different
culture (such as Little Red Riding Hood and Lon Po Po). Unfortunately I am
having trouble finding examples other than the two above. Does anyone have
any titles of modernized folktales or folktales from other cultures that
they could share? Perhaps someone knows a good website to find our more?
