There are many Cinderella updates as well as the three little pigs (the
Three Javalenas). There is a whole series of Cinderella's from other
cultures: the Korean one, the Egyptian one and so on plus modern ones like
Ella Enchanted, Cinder Elly, etc. There are a number where the tale is
turned upside down as well such as the True Story of the Big Bad Wolf and
others. There's one about the frog prince but I can't remember the title
off hand. The reinvented fairy tale is practically a sub-genre now. I
have some titles but they're in my classroom...

Hi,
I have done an activity on fairytales such as the one you are trying to
do. Unfortunately, all of my things are in my storage so I can't really
help you. I do however remember that there are several books about
Cinderella such as Cinder Edna, Turkey Girl, and many others. I think you
may be able to type in the word Cinderella or something similar on the
internet and you should get a hit. I hope this helps at least a little
bit.

For Cinderella versions try:
The Egyptian Cinderell, The Korean Cinderella and Yeh-Shen, a Chinese
version. All these are by Shirley Climo and are published by Harper
Trophy.
