Hi Matt, 

You might want to encourage the young people you are working with to look 
into Youth Venture. We help young people who want to start clubs or 
organizations that will provide a benefit to their community (see below). 

Youth Venture is a national non-profit organization that empowers young 
people ages 12-20 by providing them all the tools necessary to create 
civic-minded organizations, clubs or businesses.  We provide access to a 
variety of resources including: scholarships, awards, special conference 
invites, a national network of like-minded young people, media 
opportunities, technical allies and up to $1,000 in seed capital needed to 
launch their organizations.  Our philosophy is that young people can and 
should positively impact their communities through their actions.  We 
believe that youth inherently have the creativity and determination to 
create genuine change within their communities.  Our goal is to reach 
every young person in the nation and provide them with the Youth Venture 
opportunity.
