<p>PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SERIES
ETHNICITY, DIVERSITY, AND THE FACE OF THE FUTURE

Part Two
 of a two-part series on

Implications for Girls' Programming

Friday, June 25, 8:00 a.m.- 10:00 a.m.
Girls' Coalition of Greater Boston
117 Newbury Street
at the Junior League of Boston's office
between Clarendon and Dartmouth Streets

Purpose

This forum is Part Two of a two-part series whose primary focus is race
and girls' programs. In Part Two we will examine what race means to
girls and the adults that serve girls. The program will examine the
information that was discussed on May 7th and seek to determine how we can
use this information to honor girls and build more effective organizations
and programs. We will offer tools to help address the discomfort that
many of us experience in discussing implications of race and leadership in
girls' programs. We will seek to build a better understanding of how race
affects and shapes our expectations of girls and their potential.

The Girls' Coalition strives to provide a safe space for fostering
communication and awareness, and to convene an active learning community
for enlightenment on issues that impact girls and girls' programs.
