<p>NEW LEADERSHIP ADVOCACY TRAINING TOOLKIT FOR TEENS & TWEENS

The YOUTH ACTIVISM PROJECT has a new youth empowerment resource by Wendy
Lesko. KNOCK-YOUR-SOCKS-OFF TRAINING TEENS TO BE SUCCESSFUL ACTIVISTS! THE
COMPLETE GUIDE FOR FACILITATING A 1-2 HOUR WORKSHOP outlines a script for
every minute of the training yet it's a flexible module that can be
tailored for your audience. Participants will learn how other youths have
been influential in pursuing community change and skill-based exercises
will equip them with knowledge to design their own action plans. This
facilitator's 50-page binder also includes handouts for participants plus
a VHS tape with short TV clips that enhance this interactive workshop.

Adam Fletcher with The Freechild Project says: "KNOCK-YOUR-SOCKS-OFF
leaves no excuses for organizations that claim they can't step up and meet
the needs of young people by engaging them as meaningful social change
agents. This ready-to-use, comprehensive, and action-oriented toolkit
provides a clear path and useful examples that will help a lot of people
have the "ah-ha" moment about youth empowerment that all advocates hope
for."
