YouthLearn community,
We're excited to announce a great new resource on the YouthLearn website:
The YouthLearn News Blog. Bookmark the link: http://news.youthlearn.org .
Designed especially to serve the YouthLearn community, this new blog
conveniently pulls together youth, education, and technology news and
resources from an array of information sources, including discussion lists
and electronic publications. Entries are currently submitted by the
YouthLearn team and organized into these categories: News, Funding,
Research, Activities, and Resources. You can browse the entries,
searching by keyword or date, and post a comment, if you like. If you
wish to suggest a resource, please send it to one of the members of the
YouthLearn team or to info at youthlearn.org.
In addition, every other Tuesday, we will compile a newsletter with all of
the latest entries in the News Blog and distribute it to the YouthLearn
subscriber list. The first newsletter comes your way next! This way, you
won't miss out on any important news or resources even if you haven't had
a chance to surf over to the YouthLearn website recently. This new
incarnation of the YouthLearn newsletter is an innovative service that
allows us to publish much more frequently and, hopefully, serve your needs
better. Please let us know what you think! Write to us at
info at youthlearn.org with your feedback.
Last but not least, we wish to acknowledge and celebrate the hard work of
Lauren Penney, our VISTA volunteer this year. Practically
single-handedly, she developed the News Blog/Newsletter for the YouthLearn
Initiative and has rendered many other invaluable services throughout her
tenure with us, which ends this week. Thank you, Lauren!
Best wishes and happy blogging!
Wendy, for
The Youthlearn Team
